Matilde Angelica Serra-Simeone (born 19 December 1983), known professionally as Mademoiselle Matilde (pronounced ˌmædəmwəˈzel mətɪ́ldə), is an American Pop singer, songwriter, dancer, poem writer, actress, fashion designer, philanthropist and activist.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Lima-Peru with Catholic Italian-Peruvian traditions.
She became interested in performing as a singer and dancer since childhood at her school. In her early teen years, she was involved in music, arts and acting. She supports charities such as The Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s Research Children Hospital, Relay For Life, Greenpeace USA and Moms Demand Action.
Although her family initially opposed her pursuing her passion for art and music, she stubbornly continued to follow her dreams and decided to write her first single titled “Mademoiselle Matilde Is Here”. The song was produced in March 24, 2014 by Eren Cannata at City Sound Studio in Glen Cove, NY. The song was posted in YouTube couple months later. The debut of her first single was in October of 2014 at The Transatlantic Concert Series in Brooklyn hosted by Dream Power Entertainment where she met Graig Weich of BeyondComics.TV, a talented film director and artist who has worked with Michael Jackson and many other superstars. Graig Weich advised Mademoiselle Matilde to change the tittle of the song to “Oh My My”. It was released under a new title “Oh My My” in 2014.
On December 12, 2018, Mademoiselle Matilde released her second single titled “Only You” produced by Marvin Floyd at Nivram Productions in Glen Cove, NY.
Matilde’s favorite hobbies are playing tennis, swimming and exploring the best restaurants in the area.
Mademoiselle Matilde has live shows at different venues in Long Island and NYC area. She sings her singles and cover songs from different genres including blues, classic rock and contemporary song.
